Just a Dance Hall Drug

I was going to post a kind of...belated diary for my Hari Raya/Birthday trip to Singapore. But it seems I've put it off for so long I can't really post about it. The best pictures are on my Friendster profile anyway. :) Especially the one of WHEELCHAIR MAN! HE COMES IN A BOX!
I swear its completely real. We were at a relatives house, and this cardboard box was sitting outside, I burst out laughing and told my cousins, then I took a picture. :)

MOVIES. I love watching movies, because for 2 or more hours (the best movies are always more than 1.5) you can't think of anything else. As long as its a good movie anyway. And the slightly, indie-er ones are always better. The endings aren't always what you expect, or want for that matter, but they usually surprise you, and always provide something different to the horrible Disney-inspirational movies they show in cinemas now. I just got back from watching The Bee Movie. It had a couple of funny jokes, mainly pointed at lawyers, overpaid entertainers and asshole corporate tennis players. Haha, my favourite was:

Cow: (To mosquito) You're a lawyer too?
Mosquito: I was always a blood-sucking parasite! I just needed the briefcase!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHA. I found it hilarious. Also, the utter cheesiness of some parts of the movie. Ah, it was heart-warming.

I now have a list of movies I need to watch/buy, depending on how good they are. Thing is, these have shown in the cinemas AGES ago. So I have to go out and buy these films:
So Stardust is still being shown in cinemas, but I still want to watch it.

On the subject of Twilight. Camille & Ching have finished it. :) Haha, I've watched Ching start out with disdain for Edward, and slowly grow to love him. Then we got to discussing how he's the Perfect Guy, and now NO-ONE can compare to him. I have my own list. :)

~Looks like Edward Cullen. (Gaspard Ulliel, Henry Cavill, Tom Sturridge, Kevin Flamme.)
~Acts like Edward Cullen.
~Irish or French.
~Can sing like Brendon (P!@the D), Paolo Nutini, Damien Rice.
~Is just a tiny-eensy-weensy bit blur. Cz I think its kinda cute. HAHA.

MUSIC. I was obsessed with Boys Like Girls for a bit, and now I'm slowly moving to Damien Rice. My taste varies quite a lot. A bit like my handwriting. It changes everyday. :) I started opening up my Green Day CD's, a bit of nostalgia is always good. It was surprisingly refreshing after over a year's break. So is some Brand New and Rise Against. WIZARD ANGST! Wootwoot.

BOOKS. I can't remember what I just finished. But I've started Sense & Sensibility and Nineteen Minutes. I remember now, I'd just finished I Capture the Castle. GOD. CASSANDRA IS A NUMB-SKULL. What kind of idiot is she to fall for Simon? Stephen is the best! TEAM STEPHEN! It was a great book anyway, and I love the characters, I just wish Cassandra had a bit more sense.
So far Sense and Sensibility is alright, nothing THAT interesting has happened yet. But Nineteen Minutes is such an addictive book! I cry just about every 10 minutes, reading it. It's so incredibly sad how superficial the main character is, and how her superficial boyfriend was violent, yet really seemed to love her, and her childhood friend has shot up her high-school and has killed her boyfriend and best friends. I wont give away any more, but everyone should read this book. (Recommended by Joan.) I'm definitely reading more Jodi Picoult. We almost have a sort of book club in school. :) We swop books saying "Read it! OMG, it's so good. I know you'll love it." And so far it seems to work. :)

ART. Currently, I'm loving the artwork by *RYE-BREAD. I just love it. It makes me laugh, and sometimes I think it's just so darn pretty, and it make me smile. :)
