HOT CHIP

I got obsessed with Hot Chip again when Camille got me Made In The Dark for my birthday, and guess what? They played it at the Upper and Sixth Social! I was squealing like crazy going "OMGROSIETHEY'REPLAYINGHOTCHIP!!" And then I just realised that someone in Sixth Form had reviewed Made In The Dark for their newsletter. I call it fate. (: One of THE best bands on the planet right now. Fo'sho. I don't think I'll ever get sick of Hot Chip, it'll be 2 years next February, and I haven't got sick of a single song yet.

The Social. I have to say, I had my doubts when I found out that the glow sticks hadn't been bought and a stack of tickets had gone missing. Not to mention when the music at the beginning (to put it nicely) sucked, but after the Dance Battle (in which Ira and the-girl-I-don't-know were AMAZING) things started going WAY better. And it turned out BRILLIANTLY. They played some AWESOME music we were too afraid to play at the Upper Social (in case no-one danced 'cause they didn't know it) and they got the crowd WAY hyper, WITHOUT METRO STATION! AMAZING, I KNOW. Apart from having more technical glitches than us, IT WAS GREAT. 6th Form really know how to do socials. (:

It didn't really look like this, but I love this picture of DJ Drop (Denmark)

I LOVED the fact that they played Discovery Channel by Bloodhound Gang (which we were terrified to play), Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana (the mosh pit was a tad unnecessary but hilarious all the same) and I Like The Way You Move by Bodyrockers (after much pestering!) And I found someone else who listens to Seabear! Hahaha, just about the most unlikely thing in the world, but I love Icelandic music. I want to holiday there. Very soon.
