Miri

Just spent the weekend in Miri with my family. Not all that eventful really. Hmm, what did I do? I actually got down to it and read the majority of Wuthering Heights. (The cover of mine is considerably more attractive than this one) Which I have been meaning to read for a VERY long time. And I'm glad I finally did. It's one of those books, people say it's great, so expectations build up, and you're scared to knock them down like so many others before it. But this book lived up to it all, being a classic and all, thank God it did. Hmm, what else. I bought a couple of books. Those Penguin Pocket Books, celebrating 70 years of penguin-ness. I bought The Pocketbook of Lightning by Jonathan Safran Foer (several weeks earlier on a complete whim) and absolutely adored it. My sides were positively splitting. So I went back to look for anything else I could find by him, and couldn't, so I bought some more Pocket Penguins in the hope they'll be as funny. Also bought The Polysyllabic Spree by Nick Hornby. Nowhere near as intelectual as it sounds. Basically a collection of book reviews over the years. I need some new reading material. desperately. There's only so many times one can reread the Twilight series. In all it's incomplete glory. Visited my cousin, too. He had his laptop and his friends had left seasons 1-4 of House in, well, the house. So he brought that to the hotel and him, my brother and I watched it most of the weekend. Now, who had the bright idea of GETTING RID OF THE PERFECT COMBINATION OF AWESOME PEOPLE? Season 4 is good, but I LIKE THESE PEOPLE! BRING 'EM ALL BACK! Some people will say I only want the Aussie guy back, which is partly true, but the rest of them are awesome too. (: Can't you just picture the difference between Hugh Laurie in Blackadder and Hugh Laurie in House? Teehee (:
