D of E

Ah. Duke of Ed Silver Expedition. God, I was so worried about this trip. AND WITH GOOD REASON. I got eaten ALIVE by the bed bugs in the Ranger Station room. Argh, I have bites all up my arms and all down my legs. It is so itchy it feels like I could tear the skin off my legs just to get some relief. I have tried just about everything, hot water, mopiko, sellotape, cutting an x into the bite with my nails and just about every lotion I have found in my house. NO RELIEF WHATSOEVER. This is torture. This must be what hell is like.
The first day was okay. It was just hte boat ride really. Not particularly tiring, just CRAZY PAINFUL. My ass hurt really bad after 4 hours on the bloody longboat. I managed to catch up on some sleep though, but when I woke up, I HAD TAN LINES. I have never had tan lines anywhere away from my back. I was so upset. I still am. And my knees went purple! Other people go red and peel, me and Joanne went PURPLE. Then us girls had our epic sing-along session, songs of our childhood: Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls. The next day was, very difficult. Actually, that's an understatement. The walking was alright, but the BAG WAS SO HEAVY. And when my ahoulders finally became numb, my ankles started killing me. The whole morning me and Maria had been motivating each other by saying that we were walking towards Edward Cullen's meadow. Then, it started raining, and then we saw a light ahead, and the conversation kinda went like this.

Maria: Nurul, d'you see that up ahead?
Nurul: That light?
Maria: OMG, IT'S EDWARD CULLEN'S MEADOW.
Nurul: OMGOMGOMG, ARE WE HALLUCINATING?

So yeah, basically the highlight of my day. :) And then, the last two kilometres of the walk, when my feet were gonna fall off, IT STARTED CHUCKING DOWN, JUST BUCKETS. So we trudged through the rain, and then started running 'cause it was so much fun. :P Apart from getting leeched 4 times, one of which actually bit me just beneath the underwire of my bra, on the left. WTF, HOW DID IT GET THERE? And yeah, my legs are hurting like crazy, my lower back too. God help me, I am going to rip the flesh from my arms and legs to stop this itching.

I AM BORED.
